Business Administration Apprentice

Supporting and engaging with different parts of the organisation you will interact with internal or external customers. Duties will include working in the main reception, reprographics, finance, data inputting and dealing with inquiries on email, letters and telephone. Full training and support will be provided throughout your apprenticeship.
Duties to include;
  • Main reception – dealing with walk-ins, post, telephone etc
  • Reprographics – reproducing documents and teaching material
  • Finance, order and invoicing – ensuring payments are made to or from suppliers, gathering quotes and placing orders for materials/services as required
  • Correspondance – responding to letters, emails and messages in a timely manner whilst adhering to school policies
  • Telephone calls – making and taking calls from parents/carers, teaching staff, support staff, suppliers and other external organisations
  • Any other administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the school
Training

You will study towards the Business Administration level 3 Apprenticeship standard. Attending college every 6 weeks you’ll complete an activity day and spend time in class with other apprentices, college transport is available.

In the workplace you’ll receive full support to gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to achieve your apprenticeship, these will include; interpersonal skills, organisational, knowledge around school policies and process and instruction on how to use the school IT systems.

Working week
37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4pm, Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm, college attendance and off-the-job training will be accounted for in your working hours.
