Health and Social Care

Nurse students in class

The health and social care industry in the UK is a large employer, contributing 10% to the country’s economy so it’s an ideal career choice. Our students have a good progression route. Last year approximately 40% of our students studying health and social care at the Leek campus went onto the university of their choice and around 50% went straight into employment

The variety of employment options is wider than many students and parents realise, spanning the private and public sectors, and increasingly self-employment opens up more exciting opportunities. You could be working in the community, in a hospital or care home, a health centre, college or in people’s homes.
