Catering & Hospitality offers a wide range of career opportunities from professional cooking, baking and restaurant services to management. Our courses are nationally recognised across the UK for equipping students with the necessary skills to achieve gainful employment.

At our Buxton and Leek campuses you have the opportunity for real world learning in our fine dining restaurants and bistro cafes, working alongside professionals to serve students, staff and the general public. We have industry standard kitchens and you’ll be taught by industry professionals keen to pass on their knowledge.

Although a highly competitive and fast-paced industry, real world learning equips you with considerable advantages. You’ll have the chance to enter national competitions and go to key industry events.

You can choose to progress your studying through to university level or specialise in a certain discipline, the choice is yours.

Hospitality & Catering Success Story

Apprentice baker Owen Smith is learning his trade from one of the best in Britain!

Nineteen-year-old Owen, who is working for a Diploma in Craft Bakery, is serving his apprenticeship at Cowburn’s bakery in Stockport under master baker Richard Cowburn himself. Television viewers following ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery saw Richard, from Buxton, win the regional finals of the competition!  

Owen is proud to be following in his footsteps with an apprenticeship at Buxton and Leek College – the very place where his boss started out.
