March 11 – a day to do something different!

LEARNERS of all ages have a chance to make a change and do something different for a day with an exciting range of Saturday workshops running at Buxton & Leek College.

From Creative Writing to Sewing Skills, there’s something on offer for everyone on Saturday March 11 and, with costs from as little as £15, there’s no excuse not to give it a go. Creative types can try their hands at Laser Cutting, Pottery, learn how to make a skirt at Dressmaking for beginners or how to create crafts for Easter including Easter baskets and wreathes.

Those looking to advance their careers might benefit from Communication Skills which aims to boost your ability to handle difficult or emotive situations either in the workplace or in your personal life.

All one-day workshops are taking place on the same day – Saturday March 11 – at the Leek Campus in Stockwell Street. Staff will also be on hand at both the Leek and Buxton Campus from 10am – 2pm to enrol adults onto the next cohort of recreational Learning for Leisure courses that start from April onwards.
