Summary
We are looking for a suitably motivated and caring individual to become part of our nursery team. Working at our Whaley Bridge Nursery being fully supported by an experienced and well-qualified leadership team to achieve your apprenticeship.
Annual wage £11,778 – £19,047.60 dependant on age

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.
Hours 30 hours per week
The Nursery is open 7.30am to 6pm, we currently operate a shift pattern for team members such as long days, early shift, late shift. The apprenticeship is likely to be 6 hour shifts over 5 days, example 8.30am to 3pm however we always look to work with staff to find working patterns that benefit all concerned. The apprentices working hours will include time spent completing off-the-job training and college attendance.

The main aim of each and every day is to provide the physical and emotional care our children deserve.
With the guidance and support of our whole team; an apprentice would be expected to take an active part in creating a positive atmosphere for nurturing, learning, and fun times.
What you’ll do at work
- Work with practitioners to complete key children development records.
- Support colleagues and work as a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children.
- To assist in providing a range of stimulating and exciting activities for the children which encourage independence, motivation and eagerness to learn.
- Work as part of a team to ensure that the EYFS framework is implemented and OFSTED standards are adhered to at all times.
- Any other duties that fit with your role or add to your understanding of the role.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan
Training will take place in the workplace alongside 6-weekly on-campus college activity days (college transport is available). You will also have regular workplace visits from your college instructor-mentor who will complete observations, and professional discussions and ensure you remain on track to achieve your qualification.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
- GCSE English (Grade 4 or above) essential
- GCSE Maths (Grade 4 or above) essential
