Summary

We are looking for a friendly and confident person to join our small team. You will be supported to complete of day-to-day financial activities ranging from data entry to month-end management accounts and year-end financial statements.

Training course Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (AAT)

Hours 37.5 hours per week

Working hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, your working hours will include college attendance and off-the-job training.

This apprenticeship is designed to develop the role of an Assistant Accountant and will involve communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely accounts.

What you’ll do at work

Full training and mentoring provided for;

  • Maintain purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Maintain cashback transactions
  • Reconciling control accounts
  • Monthly/Quarterly financial reporting
  • Year-end account preparation
  • Any other duties that fit with your role, add to your training and assist the team

Training

Apprentices will be required to attend weekly college sessions with their instructor-mentor.

You will receive relevant training in the workplace on how to use multiple different systems such as sage 200, Microsoft Office and the bespoke MI system. You’ll learn in-depth knowledge about the company such as the products we sell, the people we deal with and the systems and processes we use.

Your training plan

Weekly college sessions alongside training from the workplace and regular review sessions with your college instructor-mentor who will visit the apprentice in the workplace, completing observations, professional discussions and ensure the apprentice remains on track with their coursework.

Essential qualifications

  • GCSE English (Grade 4 or above) essential
  • GCSE Maths (Grade 4 or above) essential

Established in 1986, we have been manufacturing specialist vehicle conversions for accessibility and in this time, we have worked with many public and private sector clients across the UK to design and build over 5,000 Minibuses.
