Summary

Support the customer service and administrative functions of a busy medical supplies company. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to customers including NHS trusts, clinics and care providers whilst gaining valuable experience and working towards a nationally recognised business administration qualification.

Training course Business Administration Apprenticeship

Hours 37.5 hours per week including time spent completing off-the-job training and attending college as required.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.45pm, Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm with 30 minutes lunch break each day

Work

This role provides the apprentice with the opportunity to develop general office skills and gain specific knowledge of the medical supply industry.

What you’ll do at work

Full training and mentoring provided for;

Office Administration;

  • Maintain accurate customer records, price lists and order histories.
  • Prepare quotes and product information packs for clients and sales teams.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing and scanning.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for tenders, audits and compliance checks.

Team & Training support;

  • Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to support smooth operations.
  • Follow relevant healthcare regulations (e.g. MHRA, GDPR, ISO standards).
  • Attend apprenticeship training sessions and instructor-mentor review sessions and complete all coursework on schedule.
  • Take part in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Training

Apprentices will be required to attend on-campus activity days every 6 weeks alongside off and on the job training.

Your training plan

6-weekly on-campus training days alongside training from the workplace and gular review sessions with your college instructor-mentor who will visit the apprentice in the workplace regularly, completing observations, professional discussions and ensure the apprentice remains on track with their coursework.

  • GCSE Maths (Grade 4 or above) essential

After this apprenticeship
