Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join our team, we will provide full training and support for the apprentice to complete daily activities such as planning activities for the children, building relationships, cleaning, safeguarding and more.

Training course Early Years Practitioner

Hours 30 hours per week, we are open 7.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, there will be some flexibility around the days and hours worked.

Duration

12 – 18 Months

Work

Working with the team you will complete a range of daily activities and duties for children aged 0-4 alongside training.

What you’ll do at work

Full training and mentoring provided for;

  • Planning activities for the children that are engaging and promote learning
  • Building relationships with the children, team members, carers/parents etc
  • Cleaning of the play areas/toys
  • Supervising play
  • Assisting with meals times, helping the children to eat and encouraging healthy eating habits
  • Assisting with the personal hygiene of the children such as toileting, hand washing etc
  • Completing daily paperwork and communicating effectively with parents/carers
  • Safeguarding the children whilst in our care by following procedures
  • Working as a team and completing any other tasks as required

Training

Apprentices will be required to attend 6-weekly college sessions with their instructor-mentor.

Your training course

Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or Early Years Educator Level 3

Your training plan

6-weekly college sessions alongside training from the workplace and regular review sessions with your college instructor-mentor who will visit the apprentice in the workplace, completing observations, professional discussions and ensure the apprentice remains on track with their coursework.

In addition the apprentice will complete a range of training provided by the employer such as safeguarding, prevent, food hygiene. The apprentice will also get 1-1 support throughout the day.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

  • GCSE English (Grade 4 or above) essential
  • GCSE Maths (Grade 4 or above) essential

Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
