To celebrate World Book Day 2024 Buxton & Leek College is holding its 11th annual charity book sale. The Devonshire Library at the Buxton campus, and the Hub at the Leek campus are now seeking book donations ready for the start of the sale, taking place from Monday 4th to Thursday 21st March.
Dan Deaville, BLC Library Experience Manager said:
‘Last year alone BLC’s Libraries raised over £400, and this year we’re hoping to do even better! All the money raised will be going straight to Book Aid International, not to mention your old books can find a new loving home.’
Book Aid work hard to continuously provide books, and support libraries all over the world. Last year alone, the Charity managed to provide 13.1 million people in 26 countries with the opportunity to read.
Every book sold and every penny raised will go towards promoting reading in communities and training the next generation of teachers and librarians.
Your fiction and children’s books can be donated to either the College’s Leek or Buxton receptions, so support Book Aid and get involved by donating your preloved books to BLC.
The World Book Day sale will be running during term time from 4th to 21st March at the following times:
Mondays to Thursdays: 9am – 7pm
Fridays: 9am – 5pm
Saturdays: 12pm – 4pm.
Please note: Buxton campus sale is open to the public, however Leek campus sale is for students only
