Would you like to work towards a degree for just one day a week whilst still being able to earn a wage? Buxton & Leek College has the answer with its HND in Business.
Claire Poole a Curriculum Leader at the College said:
“You will be well on you way to gaining a degree following completion of the HND and the qualification can be converted into a BA (hons) Business further down the line with a top-up of additional study. For £3,200 a year, one day a week for three years it really is an affordable option that you can study on your doorstep. Most people are able to access funding with a low interest loan to study this programme.”
The course introduces students to the core range of business and management subjects, including human resource management, accounting, marketing, economics, operations and business planning.
Claire continues:
“The course integrates all these subject areas and demonstrates how they function together, we also learn how they can be applied to real business situations.
“You’ll develop an approach that is both questioning and reflective. Whilst we also build skills in innovation, entrepreneurship and admin such as report writing and presentations; research, leadership skills and self-confidence.”
She added: “This all means that you’ll have a wealth of knowledge to take into your employment, or you can carry on studying and top up your HND to an honours degree in business, marketing, enterprise, finance or human resource management.”
