STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT CELEBRATED AT BUXTON & LEEK COLLEGE AWARDS

Buxton & Leek College’s Annual Awards Ceremony took place on Thursday 27 June, recognising special student achievement in every curriculum area across the College. 32 winners and their guests were treated to a 2-course dinner, following this students took to the event stage, held at Buxton’s iconic Devonshire Dome to receive accolades and sponsored prizes for their achievements.

Len Tildsley, Principal of Buxton & Leek College compèred during the evening and Kath Mitchell, Vice Chancellor of the University was also in attendance to hand out awards. Performing Arts students treated guests to a performance of Same Place, Different Time, a dramatisation set in the Devonshire Dome, which time travelled through the various uses of the historical buildings.

 

 

 

Winners were selected from across the College from every curriculum area and there was also an Outstanding Achievement, Unsung Hero and Tutor of the Year Award handed out.
