You will work across both Art and Media to gain a breadth of skills within these creative areas to support your progression within Art and Design or Media.
Expertly taught by tutors with years of real-life experience, you will be introduced to a wide range of techniques and processes which you will have the opportunity to explore and develop in a variety of art/design projects and
in both print and digital media; this hands-on course will teach a wide range of highly desirable art and media skills- allowing you to develop your portfolio and explore different areas.
You course will be delivered over both of our campuses to allow access to our state-of-the-art facilities.
You’ll study in Leek School of Art which is steeped in art and design history dating back to 1884. Our new William Morris building has state of the art facilities with studio and workshop spaces that are light and spacious and have all the latest equipment, so you’ll be encouraged to explore your full creative talents.
As a student on the course, you will have access to a high-tech media suite, recording devises and editing software; allowing you to research, design, create and evaluate your own projects
There are opportunities to go on visits to galleries, exhibitions and media locations locally & nationally. Plus, you’ll take part in our impressive yearly exhibitions and community events.
You will continue to improve your maths and/or English skills in taught sessions as part of your study programme, alongside this and maths and English will also be integrated into your course.
In our encouraging, supportive environment the range of facilities and equipment we have in the School of Art and Media suite will help you to develop a really wide variety of skills, gaining experience for employment or further study.
