BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Apprenticeship opportunity to work as part of a small, established construction firm, being taught not only site based Carpentry and Joinery but other elements of the trade to give a fuller understanding of the industry.
We are looking to take on a hardworking, enthusiastic and switched on individual who is looking to learn by doing. The successful candidate will assist in all areas of construction whilst focussing on the site based Carpentry and Joinery aspect of their course. This will include a wide variety of duties which could include:-
- Materials handling
- Site Maintenance
- Measuring and cutting/mixing raw materials
- Many more….

There is potential for permanent employment on the successful completion of your apprenticeship.
Minimum 30 hours per week to meet apprenticeship requirements. Weekly hours may vary to meet business needs. 20% of working hours will be spent completing off the job training. Your hours will vary in start/finish times depending on business needs Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
£7,503.60 per year

Carpentry & Joinery; Site Carpentry Pathway level 2 or 3 dependent on candidate
Leek (college transport available)
THINGS TO CONSIDER
This role will involve working outdoors, you will need to be physically fit as there will be lifting & carrying involved. Although this role will focus on Site Carpentry you will have the opportunity to learn other general building skills.
