The Award winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café is recruiting for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Apprentice Commis Chef to join their successful and established Farm Shop team.

Vacancy Description:
The Award winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Cafe is recruiting for an enthusiastic and forward thinking Apprentice Commis Chef to join their successful and established Farm Shop team, working daytime hours and one day at the weekend!
Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café are looking for an enthusiastic person to undertake a Commis Chef apprenticeship in their restaurant kitchens. The successful candidate will:-
- Work with our experienced team of Chefs, Bakers, Cooks and Assistants, who have years’ of experience in different areas within a kitchen.
- Work within a service kitchen, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas.
- Produce products to sell in our café, shop, and deli counter.
- Use local products and our own beef from the Butchery to cook with.
- Assist in the preparation of baking a cheesecake, to a making a pork pie!
- Prepare afternoon teas, using our freshly made cakes!
- Assist in the general cleaning of the kitchen to ensure food safety procedures are followed.
- Opportunities to work in all areas in our business, this includes Bakery, Main kitchen, Production kitchen and Butchery.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideally, you will have GCSE Maths & English grade 4/C or above or an equivalent.
There is potential you could study towards these qualifications as part of your apprenticeship depending on personal circumstances.
FUTURE PROSPECTS
There is potential for permanent employment and further training on the successful completion of your apprenticeship.
WORKING WEEK
Minimum of 30 hours per week.
Day time hours, working one day at the weekend.
